PESHAWAR: High Court Peshawar has arrested a man for harassing a woman by creating her bogus Facebook profile and molesting her through indecent pictures. Accuse Muhammad Munir has been sent to jail for 12 years imprisonment of social harassment with 3 lakh rupees fine, which is the greatest penalty by cybercrime cell in Pakistan history.

According to Deputy Director FIA Peshawar, the woman complaint that, “Munir was created a fake Facebook profile under my name and was uploaded some pictures to harass me”. He added, “Upon receiving the request, we created a team to investigate the situation and thus arrested the suspect”.

He told that suspect has appealed in Peshawar High Court and Supreme Court for bail which has been rejected. It is to be clear that Munir had arrested in 2015 for illegally accessing someone’s data without authorization under Electronic Transaction Ordinance 2002 by FIA.
