As they release a customer update on its website, Dell officials admit that their customers’ data including; names, email addresses, and hashed passwords, might get hacked.
However, there is no such evidence whatsoever that it happened or how much data got hacked.
According to the Dell officials, on November 9, they noticed some unauthorized activity on their network and immediately took action against it. As they hired a digital forensics firm involved the authorities. They took precautionary measures of resetting all dell.com customer passwords.

Though it might seem that customer data might get breached. But authorities said that the credit cards information were not compromised in the incident.
Experts recommended that if your Dell password is the same or similar to what you use on other websites, then you should change it for the sake of security measures.
